Thinking that just professionals need bike fitting is completely wrong! All cyclist need to be checked by specialist and adjust bike to their fitness situation/status, it doesn’t matter if this is a hobby rider or ever day training person. Important of found balance of comfortable/performance/healthy is always important and priority.
We see many cyclist how they seat on too small bike or too big bike, and this can bring pain in knees and some injures on different parts of body.Saddle is one of the important contact on the bike. Like we all know we have 3 contact points on the bike with rider, this is 1. Saddle 2. Handlebar (grips/tape) 3. Shoes (cleats).
We should not underestimate all this points, by saddles we have so many on market that is hard to choose but to be correct seating and use seats bones to be on saddle and without blocking nerves on the our lower part of the body is really important.By shoes and cleats we have so much to discuss that we could be write a book, but simple is to make sure that shoes and inserts are as much is possible comfortable and stabilize, to transfer power to the pedals and to wheels but also that is not uncomfortable. Adjusting saddle position and handlebar position with important angle of arms and body position is crush by cyclist.In overall we recommend to do BikeFitting every year or at least every two years because of changing level of fitness of riders and also because of changing structure of body of every rider. Special by new bikes is Really important to get bike to fit to your body and ride style. The most we see that MTB rider underestimate fitting on bike but later suffer on the some pain in knee or somewhere else.
